Taalanjay Thakur
With over 18 years of mastery in the Banaras Gharana tradition of tabla, Taalanjay Thakur is recognized as one of India's finest young percussionists. His journey began at age six under Pandit Kishan Maharaj's disciple lineage, and has since taken him to the greatest stages of classical music in India, the Middle East, and Europe.
His vision for Naad Sutra was simple yet profound: to create a band that honors the ancient while speaking to the modern soul — a bridge between the eternal and the celebratory. Under his leadership, Naad Sutra has performed for royalty, film legends, and at India's premier music festivals.
